We all know George Muller's faithfulness in prayer and utter dependence on our Almighty God for support. Any of you familiar with Muller's life also know that he was born in Germany but spent most of his life in England ministering in English. His biographer commented on his views on language acquisition.
"He was wont, therefore, to counsel those who propose to work among a foreign people, not only to live among them to learn their language, but to keep aloof as far as may be from their own countrymen, so as to be compelled to use the tongue which is to give them access to those among whom they labour."
In a country where most Americans have chosen to minister through translators, I found this insight of Muller's to be most encouraging. Please continue to pray for Kristie and me as we continue our lifetime effort to become more and more proficient in the Mongolian language.
