Quote of the week
"Protestant missions had enjoyed over one hundred and fifty years of contact with the Tibetan Buddhist world since William Carey's visit to Bhutan in 1797. For much of that period Western Christians had been a favored elite, free to evangelize and set up permanent mission stations at strategic spots on the borders of Tibet and Mongolia. Faithful missionaries had prayed, preached, and given their lives. Yet despite these great sacrifices, nowhere did a strong Christian movement appear among a Tibetan Buddhist people. The results were disappointingly different from the high hopes of early missionaries." Marku Tsering in Sharing Christ in the Tibetan Buddhist World
