What? no sidewalk?

There has been an on-going construction project next to our storefront where our church meets since we first moved into the new rooms almost two years ago. (Construction often takes a long time in Mongolia.) There have been the usual hassles and struggles: lots of dust from the construction site, occasional water spills, and piles of sand near the entrance to our walkway.

However, this Sunday morning, I arrived at the walkway leading to our building to discover that the entire walkway was missing! The construction crew had dug right up to our porch to install some pipes without providing any way for us to reach our entrance. In fact, the construction crew seemed bothered that we would want to use our entrance to utilize the rooms that we rent. Another "Mongolian moment."
They seemed unconcerned when Ganpurev talked to them about the "inconvenience." I am not sure where to go from here. Please pray that they will finish the work in the next day or two or provide a safe and reasonable way to get to our storefront.

The picture above looks north toward the porch the forms the entrance to our storefront. I've posted some before and after pictures taken from the porch looking to the south below.
