Prayer update

It has been very interesting around here since the arrival of a new missionary family, the Pattersons. Bill Patterson grew up in Mexico and speaks fluent Spanish. He has experience preaching all over the globe and has been a blessing to us. So far, he has suggested that I learn Greek, work on the translation of the Bible, start a summer youth camp, and found a Bible institute. All in my spare time, of course.

The truth is that there simply are not enough Mongolian-speaking missionaries in this country to do all the things that it would be good to do. Of course, translation work is important. Certainly, it would be great to have a youth camp. There is no doubt of the need for a good Bible institute.

Recently, I was reminded of Jesus' command to "pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest." As you pray for us this week, please pray for more spiritually mature missionaries to come to Mongolia, learn the language, and strengthen God's work in this far corner of the world.

An update on Aya: she went to the doctor Monday for an examination. The doctor said that her blood count is low so they cannot continue her course of chemotherapy treatment. Instead she will be receiving injections that should help her blood level. (This is how I understand it.) Please continue to pray for her.
